FRENCHVILLE AND FORT KENT – Norma B. (Pinette) Belanger, 64, was born Dec. 26, 1948, at Northern Maine General Hospital, Eagle Lake, to Joseph L. and Lillian (Laferierre) Pinette.
The following is in her own words: “On Feb. 23, 2013, surrounded by my loving family, I closed my eyes for a final time and dreamed of what a wonderful life I had been given. A very loving and devoted husband, Manzer Jr., the most important person in my life, my best friend and partner of 42 years, is and always will be the love of my life – always putting me and our children above all others. I will love you forever, dear.”
“I also leave behind my first born daughter, Wendy Stevens, who I am and always will be very proud of. Wendy, you can accomplish anything. I am so happy that you have a loving husband, Eric Stevens; and my two beautiful granddaughters, Ashley and Makayla Stevens, who I used to watch while growing up, but you know what girls – Meme will be watching over you always. I love you girls so much! I also leave behind my wonderful son, Jason, who I am so proud of and always will be. Set your mind to it and you’ll be able to accomplish all the goals you want in your life. I know you can do it, you’re such a smart young man. I also find comfort that you have a loving wife, Lesley; and your two beautiful children, Henry and Heidi Belanger. I will be watching over you. I love you! I’m also survived by my brother, Ron and wife, Mona, of Wallagrass; brother, John of Biddeford; brother, Dana and wife, Marilyn, of Fort Kent; and several nieces and nephews. I was predeceased by my parents; brother, Carl; sister, Myrtle Martin; and nephew, Dean Pinette.”
There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Jim Nadeau officiating. Those who wish in her memory can donate to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
