FARMINGTON, Maine — A former Industry woman pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Superior Court on Friday to robbing the Farmington Walmart and demanding oxycodone in September 2012.

Ashley M. Lake, 28, of Lincoln Street, Lewiston, entered her pleas to felony charges of robbery and unlawful possession of oxycodone.

She was indicted on the charges in January.

A conviction on the robbery charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. A conviction on the drug charge is punishable by up to five years in prison.

Lake is accused of handing a Walmart pharmacist a note stating she had a gun and demanding oxycodone, Farmington police previously said.

After receiving some of the drug, police said Lake left the store and met up with Timothy Campbell, 33, of Chesterville, in the parking lot. They fled on foot, police had said.

A tracking dog led police to the Colonial Valley Motel, a short distance down the road, where the two were staying.

Campbell was also charged with robbery and possession of an illegal drug.

Although there is no evidence that Lake had a gun or displayed one, she approached the pharmacist and indicated she did, Assistant District Attorney Andrew Robinson told the court in September. Police found her in possession of oxycodone and found some in the room. Most of the drug taken was recovered by police, he had said.

A defense attorney told the court that Lake is interested in applying to drug court. She would also like to have bail amended so she could have Department of Health and Human Services supervised visits with her co-defendant, Campbell.

Assistant District Attorney James Andrews said he would like to have a motion to amend bail in writing. He said he believed it could be worked out.

Justice Robert Murray said he would keep the bail condition as-is, and her attorney could file a written motion in the case.
