Canaan man accused of sexual assault in NH

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A Maine man has been arrested on sexual assault charges pertaining to incidents alleged to have occurred in November 2012.

Paul Fierley, 50, of Canaan, Maine, was arrested by the Portsmouth Police Department on Thursday and charged with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

He is being held on $25,000 cash bail at the Rockingham County Jail after being video arraigned in court Friday morning.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for March 4 at Portsmouth Circuit Court.
