ROCKLAND, Maine — The Knox County Commission will host an open house 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the newly opened Knox County Public Safety Building located at 301 Park St.

Members of the public are invited to tour the newly renovated facility paid for with a $2.5 million bond approved by Knox County voters in November 2011.

The building had previously housed the offices of VillageSoup.

The facility now houses the Knox County Sheriff’s Patrol, Emergency Management Agency and the Knox Regional Communications Center.
