BANGOR, Maine — Police expect charges to be filed after they finish investigating a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Mount Hope Avenue and Hogan Road late Friday morning.

“Bangor fire and rescue was already on scene when we arrived after the 11:24 a.m. call,” said Bangor police Sgt. Jim Buckley.

According to Buckley, a green Subaru driven east on Mount Hope by Sherry Levesque, 47, of Old Town hit the side of a green Ford F-350 pickup truck driven south on Hogan Road by Rickie Keim, 47, of Patten.

“The 350 rolled onto its driver side and onto the hood portion of a Toyota Camry that was in the left turn lane pointing north on Hogan waiting to turn onto Mount Hope,” Buckley explained. “Then the 350 rolled back off the Camry and onto its passenger side on the pavement.”

Four people were in the pickup: Rickie Keim, Bobbie Keim, 39, and two children, ages 5 and 9. All are from Patten.

Both the Camry — driven by Rachel Traft, 18, of Veazie — and Subaru had just the driver in the vehicle.

Traft, Rickie Keim and one of the children were taken by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center with what Buckley called injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Buckley said police were told that Traft later was released from the hospital. No information was available on her or the other two people taken to EMMC, according to a nursing supervisor Friday night.

“Early indications are that the 350 failed to stop for a red light,” said Buckley. “Charges are expected, but not until the investigation is completed.”

Everyone was wearing seat belts.

At least two of the vehicles were towed from the scene, but no damage estimates were available.
