GOULDSBORO, Maine — A local resident reported missing on Wednesday has been found safe and sound, according to a local official.
Gouldsboro Police Chief Glenn Grant said Thursday that he has spoken with George Tedesco, 46, and determined that Tedesco is OK. Without going into specifics, he said Tedesco has been staying elsewhere, somewhere out of Hancock County, for the past couple of weeks.
“He’s been located,” Grant said. “He’s fine.”
Tedesco, who lives by himself, was reported missing on Wednesday after his family had no contact with him since early February. The Maine Warden Service flew an airplane Wednesday over the woods near Tedesco’s home on Ashville Road off Route 1 but did not find any trace of him.
