ROCKPORT, Maine — The Rockport Select Board, in compliance with its town charter, is forming a search committee to identify qualified applicants to be the next town manager.
The committee is a critical step in the selection of the next town manager and will consist of between five and seven town residents, the town stated in a news release.
The purpose of this committee is to review all applications received, submit a semifinal list of applicants to the Select Board for its review and advice, create a questionnaire for all semifinalists to complete, review the responses to the questionnaire and recommend no more than five finalists to the Select Board.
Committee service applications are available at the front desk of the town office or on the town website — visit town.rockport.me.us and the application can be found under “Town Boards, Committees and Commissions.”
Applications are due back to the town office by Friday, March 1, with the Select Board meeting on Wednesday, March 6, to review the applications and appoint the committee members.
