Hudson Leigh Lloyd

OLD TOWN – Hudson Leigh Lloyd, 81, died Feb. 16, 2013, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 9, 1931, in Hodgdon, a son of William and Blanch (Dickinson) Lloyd.
He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon his return he started a long career in the transportation industry driving truck. He was a member of Teamster Union Local No. 340 and a member of the Elks. During retirement, enjoyment was found camping, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Hudson was a dedicated family man and enjoyed his many canine companions, especially his handsome boy Riley. Throughout the years, he always kept his ties with the county.
He is survived by two children, Beth Ann McLellan and husband, Michael, of Weare, N.H., and Robert Lloyd of Alton; granddaughter, Bonnie Lee McLellan of Bangor; mother-in-law, Helen Cunliffe of Houlton; sisters, Marguerite Crane of Arizona and Pauline Carter of New Brunswick; many nieces and nephews, as well as his constant companion, Riley. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Patricia, in 2007; daughter, Lee Ann Wilcox, in 2012; many brothers and sisters.
