Lois A. McAlpine

WEBSTER PLANTATION – Lois A. McAlpine, 95, wife of the late James Henry McAlpine, passed away Feb. 16, 2013, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Prentiss, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Elsie P. (Davis) Worster.

Lois loved to knit and crochet, and watch TV – the Game Show Network. She loved visiting with her family in the back yard, and was lovingly known as the “Park Ranger” at the family campground.

She is survived by her children, Joyce McLaughlin and husband, Frederick, Franklin McAlpine and wife, Joanne, Vinal McAlpine and wife, Karen, and Carl McAlpine and wife, Candi; special “daughter,” Janet White; a special niece, Melissa McAlpine; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by three boys, Avon Worster, Steven McAlpine and Bryant Henry McAlpine.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Tucker Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
