SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine — A Milo man was arrested after police received several calls about his behaving erratically, according to police.

Frederick Cole, 31, was walking down the middle of Main Street around 4 p.m. Friday when the calls started coming in, police said Monday. After officers responded to determine what was going on, they found Cole allegedly in possession of prescription drugs he had not been authorized to use, police said.

Officer Shawn Merchant arrested Cole on a charge of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Local police called the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department for assistance, but did not report any difficulty in taking Cole into custody.

A corrections officer at Hancock County Jail said Monday that Cole has since has been released on bail. Information about Cole’s bail amount was unavailable.
