VEAZIE – Lillian M. Munson, 76, passed away Feb. 14, 2013, at a Bangor hospital after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 20, 1936, in Charlotte, the daughter of Al and Louise (Watson) Smith.

Lillian enjoyed cooking, playing cards and traveling to different parts of the country, but her real passion was spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gary K. Munson Sr.; daughter, Juanita and husband, Mark McTigue, of Bangor; son, Gary K. Munson Jr. and fiancée, Fern, of Bangor; daughter, Mary and husband, Scott Waite, of Kenduskeag; daughter, Anna and husband, Mark Trundy, of Belize; son, James Munson and fiancée, Terry, of Oregon; and daughters-in-law, Lorraine Munson and Holly Munson of Arizona and Amy Munson of Otter Creek. Also surviving are sisters, Dottie Munson of Glenburn, Charlotte Munson of Bucksport and Donna Davis of Bangor; brothers, Al Smith of Baldwin and Larry Smith of Charleston; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; grandchildren, Valerie, Vicki, Shawn, Charity, Chuckie, B.J., Cyndil, Derek, Helena, Tarzan and Ophelia; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by son, William Munson of Arizona; sister, Barbara Hawkes of Gorham; and brother, Myron Smith of Charlotte.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at Corinth Baptist Church. A reception will be held afterward at the church. Flowers may be delivered after 8 a.m. Saturday. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives.
