MILLINOCKET – Rosa Aura (Saucier) Bouchard passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 27, 1928, the daughter of Honore and Anna (Caron) Saucier, the seventh of 13 children.
A lifelong homemaker, she took great pride in raising her 11 children and two of her siblings, Joanne and Theresa. She was totally devoted to her family and her faith. She was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Millinocket. Rosa was a woman of humor and the life of the party. She was admired by her friends as a woman of style.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Bertrand, in 2002; and by her son, E. Donald Bouchard, in 2004. She is survived by her children, Lucy of Milton, Fla., Nancy and Galen Stanley of Medway, Brenda and Gunter Bernardini of Millinocket, Ruth and Tom Leet of Millinocket, Bertrand and Lori of Millinocket, Anna and Skip Edgerley of Brunswick, John of Millinocket, Bryant of Bloomfield, Conn., Michael and Tina of Sanford and Ron of Hermon. Rosa has 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, that brought her great joy. She leaves behind her siblings, Carmen Dubay of South Windsor, Conn., Norman Saucier of Presque Isle, Leo Saucier of Millinocket and Joanne Farmer of East Millinocket. She was predeceased by brothers, Adrien, Harold, Alderick, Alve and Gorman Saucier; and sisters, Claudette Dube, Lorraine Voisine and Theresa Ham. Her family sincerely thanks Rosa’s health caregivers for their care during the last years of her life.
Friends and family may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket. A spring burial will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
