Permelia ‘Mickey’ Dawn King

LINCOLN and ELLSWORTH – Permelia “Mickey” Dawn King, 49, passed away Feb. 12, 2013, in Ellsworth. She was born Aug. 12, 1963, in Lincoln, the daughter of Paul and Arlean (Kennedy) King.

She is survived by sisters and brothers, Ida Carmichael, Darrel King, George King, Dale Ruben King, Priscilla Richmond, Patricia Philbrook, Delbert King, Paula Webster, Pauline Hartwell, Perline McCafferty and her husband, Harley, with whom Mickey made her home for 18 years, Pamela Young, Douglas King, Dwaine King and Pennie Stewart; as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Dalton and Dennis King.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Tony Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. Mickey spent her last few years at Birchwood Living Center, Ellsworth. The staff became dear friends to Mickey and the family. This is a great organization geared to the specific needs of M.R. clients. They are warm, caring and genuine advocates for the dignity and safety of those who cannot represent themselves.
