No contests in Washington elections

WASHINGTON, Maine — Residents will have two uncontested municipal races when they go to the polls next month.

Incumbent Selectman Wesley Daniel, the chairman of the board, is unopposed for re-election to a three-year seat on the three-member board of selectmen.

Incumbent Regional School Unit 40 Board member Sean Donaghy is also seeking another term. The town has two members on the 16-member board that includes Waldoboro, Union, Friendship and Waldoboro.

The election will be held 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the town office. The town meeting will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the Prescott Memorial School.

The warrant for the town meeting has not yet been made final.
