State Sen. Edward Mazurek, D-Rockland, will host two community forums later this month to gather resident input on Gov. Paul LePage’s proposed two-year budget.
The first meeting will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Union town office.
The second will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Rockland City Hall.
“This forum will provide an opportunity for the people of Senate District 22 to discuss the governor’s proposed budget,” Mazurek stated in a news release. “This budget as written will have a tremendous impact on our towns, small businesses, middle class, elderly and poor. I hope many people will plan to attend and share their thoughts and concerns.”
The forum at Rockland City Hall will also be attended by state Reps. Elizabeth Dickerson, D-Rockland; Chuck Kruger, D-Thomaston; and Joan Welsh, D-Rockport.
At the Union forum, state Rep. Jeffrey Evangelos, a Friendship independent, also will be in attendance.
