PORTLAND, Maine — Four people who allegedly robbed a man in the Maine Mall parking lot the day after Christmas have been indicted by the Cumberland County grand jury.

Gabriel Sobczak, 18, Justin Fletcher, 38, Meadow Collins, 19, and Elizabeth Collins, 53, all of South Portland, were indicted on one count each of Class A robbery.

One of the quartet allegedly assaulted the victim in the mall parking lot while the others took his money because a cellphone purchased from the victim by one of them did not work, according to a previously published report.

In an unrelated case, Michael Brown, 24, of Portland was indicted on one count of elevated aggravated assault, a Class A crime.

Brown allegedly stabbed a man in the neck on Nov. 15 on Danforth Street in Portland. Brown followed a group of people, which included the victim and a woman with whom Brown had had a relationship, down the street just before the alleged assault, according to a previous report.

If convicted, all five defendants face up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
