Wayne teenager hurt in Winthrop crash

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

WINTHROP, Maine — A teenager was injured Monday morning after he lost control of his vehicle on Route 202 and went down an embankment, according to police.

Noah Liscord, 17, of Wayne was heading west on Route 202 around 8:30 a.m. when his 2005 Honda left the road and went down an embankment, Winthrop police Capt. Ryan Frost said.

Liscord’s vehicle went down the embankment, traveled up another, became airborne and landed on its wheels on Pineland Drive, Frost said. Liscord was wearing a seat belt.

Frost said driver inattention is a likely cause of the crash, but no charges will be filed. Liscord’s vehicle was demolished in the crash.

Liscord was treated at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. A hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday morning he has been released.
