BANGOR and MONSON – Erma Marini, 96, died peacefully Feb. 2, 2013, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Milo, the daughter of Clarence and Florence (McFarland) Snow.
Erma grew up in Monson and graduated from Monson Academy, class of 1933, and lived most of her life there where she served as postmaster. In her later years she moved to Bangor. Erma was a wonderful cook and was well known for the many great meals she served.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Paquin and her husband, Armand, of Bangor and Betty Ivey of Connecticut; grandchildren, Jean Redmond of Naples, Bruce Redmond of Casco, Jimmy Yates and his wife, Trish, of Standish, Robert Yates of Casco, Jennifer Reynolds and her husband, Chad, of Bangor, Sherry Andrews and her husband, Andrew, of Lebanon, Conn., Nancy Toombs of Manchester, Conn., Daniel Ivey of New London, Conn., and Mikel Ivey and his wife, Debbie, of Andover, Conn.; stepgrandchildren, Adam Paquin and Jennifer Higgins and her husband, Chris, all of Ellsworth; great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Whitney, Courtney, Anna, Matthew, Abigail, Sonya, Shannon, Seth, Shawn, A.J., Tim, Katie, Casey and Brian; and great-great-grandchildren, Liam, Tyler, Ryan, Dante, Trevin, Jadyn and Ayza. She was predeceased by three husbands, Harland Johnson, Erwin Small and Cleto Marini; and a grandson, Allan Redmond.
