ROCKLAND, Maine — A 48-year-old Rockland woman was sentenced to 60 days in jail Friday afternoon for assaulting her boyfriend last month in Camden.

Rene Gordon pleaded guilty before Judge Susan Sparaco in Rockland District Court to domestic violence assault. The defense and district attorney’s office agreed to the sentence.

According to an affidavit filed by Camden Police Chief Randy Gagne, the department responded to a domestic disturbance call on the night of Jan. 13. Officers found both Gordon and a man at the residence and both were intoxicated.

The affidavit states that Gordon admitted hitting him so he would move over in bed and then scratched his face after he called her names.

The man admitted calling her names and said she then gouged his face.
