WARREN, Maine — With a little more than a week left to get on the March town election ballot, there are no candidates yet for three open seats to represent the town on the school board.

The available seats are held by Theodore “Tod” Brown, Maggie Massengale and Wayne Luce.

The deadline for candidates to file papers to get on the ballot is Friday, Feb. 8. The town election is Monday, March 25, with the polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town office.

Warren has four representatives on the 16-member Regional School Unit 40 board. RSU 40 also includes Waldoboro, Union, Washington and Friendship.

There also is one seat up for election on the Warren Board of Selectmen. Veteran incumbent Selectman Arnold Hill has taken out and returned papers to get on the ballot.

Luce has taken out papers for the selectman’s seat but had not returned them as of Tuesday morning.

The annual town meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26.
