By Jen Lynds, BDN Staff

CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou Police Department is seeking the public’s help to apprehend those responsible for a Jan. 23 burglary at an elementary school.

Police said Monday that the burglary at the Hilltop School took place in the early morning hours.

After a complaint was called in to police from the Marshall Avenue facility, officers found that the suspect or suspects had gained entry through the rear of the building.

Police believe that happened sometime after 3:30 a.m.

The burglars made off with undisclosed items from the office area.

Officers are still processing evidence left at the scene.

Police urge anyone with information to contact the department at 493-3301.
