MEXICO, Maine — Four Oxford County men are facing drug charges after a cocaine bust in Mexico on Thursday night, according to police.

The arrests of Wayne Sinclair, 53; Daniel Allen, 53; and Darren Joudrey, 51, of Mexico; and Dana Lee Richardson, 54, of Carthage capped off a yearlong investigation into cocaine trafficking in the Mexico and Rumford areas, Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said Friday.

Undercover drug agents had purchased cocaine from all four men over the course of the last year, according to McCausland. Armed with arrest warrants, Maine Drug Enforcement agents, state police and Mexico and Rumford police officers rounded up the suspects and searched their homes.

Ten purchases of cocaine were conducted from the men in locations in Mexico and Rumford, with the bulk of them coming at Tommy Guns Pit Stop, a Mexico bar, McCausland said.

Among the items seized from the men’s homes include drugs, cash, scales, packaging material and cellphones, McCausland said. Additional arrests are likely as investigation of cocaine trafficking in the region continues.

Sinclair and Joudrey were charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs while Allen faces three counts of the same crime and Richards one count, McCausland said.

All four suspects were taken to the Oxford County Jail, where bail was set at $7,000 for Allen, $5,000 for Richardson and $3,000 for Joudrey and Sinclair, according to McCausland.
