Robert G. Frappier Sr.

STETSON – Robert G. Frappier Sr., 73, died Jan. 16, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 21, 1939, in Worcester, Mass., a son of George and Helen (Stolberg) Frappier.

Robert was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter, and Good Sam Club. He helped found the Penobscot Long Rifle Black Powder Club and owned and operated Townfarm Gun Shop, Stetson, with his son Robert Jr. His sons would like to acknowledge their father’s active participation in their lives teaching them life and occupational skills, enabling them to all build their own homes.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Born) of Stetson; three sons, Robert Jr. and wife, Helen Frappier, of Bangor, Michael and wife, Bobette Frappier, of Hermon and Richard Frappier Sr. of Strong; two stepsons and their wives, William and Debra Reichert of Eliot and Gene and Fran Reichert of Holyoke, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Lisa and husband, Gerald Epp, of Mechanicsville, Md.; two brothers and their wives, Frank and Lynn Frappier of Homestead, Calif., and Hank and Roxanne Frappier of Troy, Texas; a sister, Christine and husband, Gordon Horne, of West Greenwich, R.I.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Spring burial will be at Clark’s Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
