BANGOR – Barbara N. Murray, 74, passed away peacefully Jan. 16, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1938, in Bradley, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Severance) Brooks.

She retired from the nursing department of St. Joseph Hospital, after more than 30 years of employment.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband of 43 years, Paul Murray; five children, Donald Lancaster and his wife, Donna, Matthew Lancaster, Paul Murray and his wife, Danielle, Beverly Schooley and her husband, Richard, and Charlene Wright; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey Wilcox and Lorraine Herzog; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where relatives and friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until time of service.
