Stanley S. ‘Stann’ Dickey

SEARSPORT – Stanley S. Dickey, “Stann,” 58, passed away suddenly Jan. 12, 2013, at his home. He was born Aug. 24, 1954, son of Stanley E. and Rosemarie (Sykes) Dickey.

Stanley was a very social person and loved to surround himself with family and friends. When Stanley wasn’t with his family and friends you could find him in the woods hunting. He was an avid fisherman. Stanley loved karaoke and loved to have a good book in his hand. Stanley was a member of American Legion Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Veterans of the American Legion.

Stanley is survived and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Mary Lou (Collins) Dickey; one daughter, Serena Quinn and husband, Michael; one son, Jason Dickey and girlfriend, Christina Ellis; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Dickey, Derek Lane and Makala Parker; and two great-grandchildren, Tristen Allen and Conner Allen. He is also survived by his sister, Mariellen Curtis; and brother, David Dickey. He had many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and one sister, Donna Dickey.

Family and friends will gather for visitation 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Cancer Society of one’s choice. www.mitchell-tweedie-young.com
