BRADFORD and BANGOR – Madeline Marie (Duran) Tasker, 93, passed away Jan. 13, 2013, at a Bangor hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born May 26, 1919, in Bradford, daughter of Eugene C. and Annie M. (Cunningham) Duran.
Madeline loved music and loved playing the piano. She worked in nursing homes throughout her life as a caregiver and was well liked by her many patients. Madeline adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to take walks and spend time by the ocean viewing lighthouses. She will be lovingly remembered as a pleasant person who was loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children; Elaine Scott and companion, John Gamble, of Eddington, Maxine Storozyszyn and husband, Frank, of Arkansas, Brian Tasker and wife, Wendy, of Eddington, and Cheryl “Sherry” Bradford and husband, Ross, of Glenburn; sister, Beatrice Howard of Dexter; grandchildren, Mary and Blaine Scott, Rhonda Graziosi, Keith, David, Paige, Bradley and Synclaire Tasker, and Kyle, Brock and Brett Bradford; great-grandchildren, Heidi, Samantha, Kimberly, Paul, Scott, Erik, Caleigh, Elliana, Adelynn, Rivers and Colt; great-great-grandchildren, Jack and Asher; and nephews, Carroll and Barry Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Higgins.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Madeline’s life for family and friends will be held 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Vacationland Inn Conference Room, 453 Wilson St., Brewer. Interment will be held in the spring at Williams Cemetery, Bradford. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
