MILFORD – James Cyr, 58, beloved father, grandfather and devoted friend, passed away after a brief, but courageous battle with lung cancer.
He loved his family and his friends, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do to help out a person in need. He was a good man. James was raised in Millinocket, and spent the majority of his life living in Maine. He was an active outdoors man who loved fishing and camping with friends, his children and grandchildren. He was a career mechanic, who loved to take things apart and put them back together
He was predeceased by both of his parents, Alphie and Clotys (LeVasseur) Cyr; brothers, Wayne and Alphie; and sister, Ruth. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki and husband, Adam, and their two children, TJ and Arri, of Dexter, Jayme and husband, Casey, of Bangor, and Elizabeth of Newburgh and two sons, Justin and Heath; brother, Reed; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends that were family, Michael, Karen, Billy, Elwin, Dee, Dirk and Arnold. To all of you he held you so dear.
James had requested no services and his ashes will be scattered this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare of Maine.
