Rally for Women of the Word conference set for Saturday

BANGOR, Maine — Organizers for the Women of the Word Conference scheduled to be held in the Queen City later this year will hold a rally from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn, 250 Haskell Road.

June Evans, the pastoral adviser for Women of the Word, will be the guest speaker.

The conference is scheduled to be held April 26 and 27 at Peakes Auditorium at Bangor High School.

Women of the Word is a nonprofit organization focused on teaching women biblical principles and their application in daily life, according to information on its website. E vents include Christian women’s conferences, small group retreats, two-day intensive Bible studies and one-day seminars.

Saturday’s rally is free. A noon luncheon and afternoon teaching session is $25.
