LYMAN, Maine — A Lyman man is facing an aggravated assault charge after a hospital alerted sheriff’s deputies a woman had been assaulted.

Timothy Harmon, 42, allegedly assaulted the woman in the early-morning hours Friday, according to Chief Deputy William King.

After the victim was released from Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford, she contacted the York County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday, King said.

An investigation determined Harmon was the suspect, and he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a Class B felony, King said.

Harmon was booked into York County Jail, where he remains Tuesday.
