Man arrested after multiple warnings to leave Waterville bar, police say

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

WATERVILLE, Maine — A Benton man who repeatedly refused to leave the Bob-In ultimately was arrested Saturday night, according to police.

Employees at the establishment had repeatedly asked Patrick Curry, 33, to leave, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.

One employee flagged down police, and officers managed to escort Curry out and give him a criminal trespass warning, Rumsey said.

Curry, who was intoxicated, ignored the warning and allegedly went back into the bar five minutes after police had spoken to him, Rumsey said.

This time, Curry was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespass, Rumsey said. He was booked at the Waterville police station and released on bail.
