Collision with empty school bus sparks truck fire in Robbinston

ROBBINSTON, Maine — A school bus without passengers was rear-ended by a truck Monday afternoon on Ridge Road in the Washington County community of Robbinston.

According to the county’s emergency dispatch center, there were no serious injuries, although the truck involved caught fire after the collision, which was reported at 2:43 p.m.

The Robbinston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene, as was a Washington County Sheriff’s Department deputy.

No further information was available late Monday afternoon.
