I guess it helps when you only have to drive across the river and not fumble around peeing in bottles during the trip. I’m not sure which is worse though, peeing in a bottle on a bus, or using the filthy bathrooms at Penobscot Ice Arena.

I’d rather pee in a bottle.

The talent in Brewer is starting to dry up and that’s because of the horrible youth hockey program by far and away the worst in the area on many levels.

That’s a weird statement to make with no corroborating points of fact and in light of the fact that Brewer has had relatively less-talented teams in the past who have done perfectly well in past playoffs. Even if the youth program was “the worst on many levels”, does that not allow only the truly devoted & driven athletes to tolerate the hardships and rise to the top as compared to a hand-holding program where the coaches all sprint to be the first one to wipe a kids nose? In relative terms, how would you say Brewer’s youth program is inferior to Bangor and all other area youth programs? (besides the facility, which is better than nothing). I’m asking because I am curious since my 5-year old did the program last year and everything seemed well organized, well-scheduled, and well-staffed across all the age groups which I saw in the facility.
