Comments for: Senate renews controversial surveillance bill

    Time to move the curtain aside. If what is done is so valuable it doesn’t need to be secret.

  • Snowe was a lead supporter of the first FISA bill, that retroactively protected telecom companies that illegally spied on Americans (except Qwest which didn’t) from civil lawsuits. That’s right – you can’t sue them for breaking the law by spying on you.
