2 men die in Conn. crash, one from Lisbon Falls

MERIDEN, Conn. — Two men were killed and two others were injured, in an early morning, head-on collision Wednesday on Route 15 in Meriden.

State police said Michael Heeks, 22, of 96 Cedar Swamp Road in Mansfield, was traveling north in the southbound lane of the parkway when his car crashed head on into a southbound car being driven by Patrick Cimato, 37, of Lisbon Falls, Maine.

Both men died as a result of the collision, which occurred around 2 a.m., police said.

Two passengers in the car driven by Cimato were injured and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, police said.
