FORT KENT – Albertine (Marin) Deprey, 85, having done her cursillo and is now living her fourth day, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at a Frenchville health care facility. She was a lifelong resident of Wallagrass, and was from a family of 18 children of Tommy and Phoebe (Ouellette) Marin.
She is survived by seven sons and one daughter, Leland and wife, Betty, of Caribou, Vernon and wife, Fran, of Springvale, Ivan of Biddeford, Alden and wife, Karen, of Hermon, Ruben and wife, Sue, of Gardiner, Galen of Winterport, and Kevin of Holden; daughter, Karen and husband, Joe, of Indianapolis; as well as 13 grandchildren; sisters, Anne Marie Belanger and husband, Emile, Alphena Sears Curtis, and Alfreda Cook and husband, Everett; and in-laws, Rella Marin, and Aurore Marin. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ammy (Boy) Deprey, in 1998; brothers, Albert, Paul, Joseph, Bertrand, Arthur, Leonard, Leon and Leo; sisters, Adrienne Martin, Jeanette Saucier, Annette Marin, Therese Coulombe, Leona Michaud and Leone Deprey; and in-laws, Cyrpien Martin, Lucienne Marin, Hilaire Saucier, Florence Marin, Jacques Coulombe, Patrick Deprey, Elaine Marin, Robert Sears and Rudy Michaud.
Albertine was active in family functions, church activities of St. Joseph’s Parish, having been a Eucharistic minister for many years, and lifelong member of Dames de St. Anne, Cursillo Movement and C.O.F. Treasurer. Her life revolved around sharing kindness and caring for her family. She was happiest caring for others in need being with family and friends. Her faith in God and love of family was and will continue to be a true inspiration for everyone who knew her. Rest well Mom and watch over us. We love you more.
Friends may call 7:30-9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wallagrass. Spring burial will be held May 14, 2013, in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish in her memory may donate to St. John Vianney Parish Renovation Fund, 26 E.
