Serge Bosse

MILLINOCKET and LADSON, S.C. – Serge Bosse, 57, of Ladson, S.C., was found deceased in his home Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, from natural causes. Serge was born Nov. 24, 1955, to Romeo and Bertha Bosse.
He graduated from George W. Stearns High School, class of 1974. In 1979, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in small business management from Husson College, Bangor. After a brief stint in the business world, Serge desired to serve his country. He spent eight years in the U.S. Navy as a storekeeper, four years on the USS George Phillip and four years in Charleston, S.C. He often spoke fondly of his travels around the globe. Honorably discharged from the Navy, Serge found his greatest professional love, driving both medium- and long-haul trucks. Logging almost 1,000,000 miles, he loved being on the road and often stated that he wished he had been a trucker since high school. Later, Serge worked in a number of industries. Serge was an enthusiastic watcher and collector of movies. In his childhood, he was avidly involved in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and earned numerous badges and awards.
He is survived by his father and mother, Romeo and Bertha Bosse of Millinocket; sister and brother-in-law, Denise Bosse and David Bushley of West Haven, Conn.; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Roxanne Bosse of Boone, N.C.; brother, Andrew Bosse of Madison, Conn.; niece, Sarah Bosse of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; nephew and wife, Michael and Mallory Bosse of Greenville, N.C.; great-niece, Erin Bosse of Greenville, N.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Michelle Bosse.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Visiting hours will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
