MARS HILL – Larger than life until the end, our Heavenly Father called his cowboy Victor “Howie” Giberson Jr. home Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.
Vic took outstanding pride in being a cowboy and all the honor and integrity that goes with having a true western soul. His appearance, from his hat and boots, to the meticulous maintenance of his yard and vehicles, were all important to him. He puttered around from sunup to sundown everyday to see to it everything was in tip-top shape and looking good. Spending time out at camp, taking care of the horses, hunting and snowmobiling with the boys, and time spent in Texas made him truly happy. What he cherished most, was the time spent with his wife, children, grandkids, and close friends. He was truly a happy man and has moved on to be forever remembered by all who knew him as our eternal cowboy.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Giberson; daughter, Paige David and husband, C.J.; sons, Troy Giberson and wife, Tammy, and Chad Giberson and Kate Bither; mother, Vella Dawn Giberson; brothers, Wayne and Blaine Giberson; sisters, Donna Lee Tilley and Wanice Lambert; grandchildren, Jadeyn, Gracie, Colton, Chance, Chad Jr., Glen, Christopher, Maisie and Allana; stepson, Alan Chase; stepdaughter, Amy Kahn; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
Vic will be cremated in Fort Worth, Texas, a true cowboy town. He will travel home to Maine with his family for one last flight and a celebration of his life with those who loved him will be held in E Plantation. Time and date to be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Victor Giberson Jr. to the Careity Foundation, an organization Vic was extremely proud to support.
