Strong first half propels Hermon girls by Ellsworth

HERMON — The Hermon Hawks built a 10-point halftime lead and made it stand up for a 52-43 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Ellsworth Eagles Monday night.

Raychel Alley connected for a game-high 24 points to pace Hermon. Jenna Crouse scored 12 points.

Taylor White led Ellsworth with nine points, while Annika Firestone and Morgan Card added eight points each.
