MADAWASKA – Doris Dechaine, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at a local health care facility. She was born May 16, 1920, in Cambridge, Mass., daughter of the late George E. and Marion (Hamilton) Schneider.
Doris enjoyed traveling in and out of state with her daughter, Carol. She loved the family dog, Oscar. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family at home.
She is survived by three daughters, Lanette Walters and her husband, Thomas, of Orlando, Fla., Carol Dechaine of Madawaska and Debbie Marquis and her companion, Mike Fortin, of Madawaska; one son, Kenneth J. Dechaine of Jaffrey, N.H.; one brother, George H. Schneider and his wife, Donna, of Davenport, Fla.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Willie Dechaine.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at St. Thomas Church. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lajoie Funeral Home.
