Engineering firm opens Portland office to expand services to southern Maine

OLD TOWN, Maine — The James W. Sewall Co., the engineering and mapping firm founded in 1880 in Old Town, has opened an office in Portland.

The new office “strategically positions” the company to provide engineering, natural resource and GIS consulting services to clients in southern Maine and the rest of New England, David Edson, Sewall’s CEO, said in a statement.

The office will be jointly managed by Sewall vice presidents Ray Corson and Andrew Sturgeon.

Sewall has satellite offices in Caribou, Maine; Summerville, S.C.; Matthews, N.C.; Ranier, Minn.; Tuscumbia, Ala.
