EAGLE LAKE – Barbara Joyce Vaillancourt, 56, died unexpectedly Dec. 8, 2012, at home. She was born July 22, 1957, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Aimable and Blanche (Emond) Vaillancourt, whom she has now joined in her next life.
She was a kind person who was always there to help. She spent many years working as a caregiver and giving of her spare time to give rides to those in need. She touched the lives of those she came in contact with and will be dearly missed. She loved four wheeling and to be near the water.
She leaves behind Leo Vaillancourt and his wife, Jackie, of Kissimmee, Fla., Mable Lakeman and her husband, Robert, of East Millinocket, Aimable Smart and his wife, Carol, of Kensington, Conn., Sylvio Vaillancourt and his wife, Sandra, of Lebanon, Conn., Romeo Vaillancourt and his wife, Minnie, of Plymouth, Conn., Paul Smart and his wife, Michile, of Lebanon, Conn., and Robert Vaillancourt and his wife, Jacqueline, of East Haddam, Conn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, along with many friends. The family would like to thank all her loving and caring friends that helped her through her life. Bless you all.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery. In her memory those who wish may donate to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Services are being conducted by Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
