HAMPDEN – Joan H. Dubey, 82, died Dec. 8, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 7, 1930, in Bangor, the daughter of Charles L. and Hazel M. (Philbrick) Jewell.
Joan liked to play bingo, and work on arts and crafts. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows on TV. Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, James H. Dubey, a daughter, Jolene Bassett and her husband, Gary, of Johnston, R.I.; a son, James Dubey Jr. and his wife, Gigi, of Hampden; grandchildren, Matthew Bassett of Bellingham, Wash., Marc Bassett of Johnston, R.I., Shannan Wescott of Hampden and Nick Wescott of Berwick; and special friends, Roxanne and Bill LeRose of Orringrton, Mike and Jane Gomes of Detroit, Barbara Lawrence of Hampden, Irving and Ester Bowden of Hampden, Ronnie and Evelyn Dow of Charleston and Cheryl and Tony Dinardo of Glenburn. Joan was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and one brother. The family wants to thank the staff on the fifth floor of St. Joseph Hospital for the loving care they gave to Joan.
