Glenis Jeanette (Smith) Bell

BANGOR – Glenis J. Bell, 91, died Dec. 10, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Bangor, the oldest of five children born to Victor I. and Mildred B. (Morey) Smith-Nichols.
Glenis attended local schools and graduated from Bangor High School, class of 1938. She was a long time employee of R.B. Dunning Co., where she worked for and with so many special people.
She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Helen (Smith) Beckett and Joan (Smith) Robertucci; and brothers, Arnold G. Smith, and Richard V. Smith. She is survived by many nieces, including her dear niece, Sandra Fitts and her husband, Robert, of Brewer, Bonnie Williams of Bucksport, Linda Lopriori and her husband, Frank, Judy Goldkopf and Sandra Sandlock, all of Connecticut; nephews, John Beckett and his wife, Robin, of Orono and Lloyd Smith and his wife, Michelle, of Massachusetts; a sister-in-law, Grace Smith of Massachusetts; many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, all loved dearly.
Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be sent to a charity of one’s choice. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
