ROCHESTER, N.H. — Police arrested a man on a driving under the influence charge after a car accident on Rochester Hill Road on Saturday night near Skyhaven Airport.

Ricky Dyer, 58, of West Lebanon, Maine, was charged after police responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch with a man smelling of alcohol and standing outside the vehicle.

After dispatching to the area around 9:51 p.m., police say they found the 2001 Nissan Maxima resting perpendicular to the roadway near a stop sign, with Dyer outside the vehicle.

Dyer was arrested and charged with DUI, transportation of alcoholic beverages, and driving after revocation or suspension.

According to police, Dyer has prior DUI arrests out of New Hampshire and Maine. After his arrest Saturday, he was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, with arraignment scheduled for Jan. 14.
