I’d like to see something that would make a huge difference, A sidewalk from Griffin Rd to join the existing sidewalk on Ohio St. to create a large loop for walkers who now are frequently seen walking in the road on the Ohio St. side near Sunbury Village. Also brightly lighting Griffin Rd for a reasonable distance behind the Airport Mall where there are frequently pedestrians crossing the road in shadows to go into the Capehart neighborhood.

You are missing out on the point of this committee. It is meant to address larger issues. These are suggestions that you can take to the Council during regularly scheduled meetings. Sidewalks and streetlights are not what this group is meant to address…I also don’t think that either of your suggestions would make a “huge difference” in regards to anything. Think bigger.

Oh ok. I didn’t realize you had a pre-approved list of what the “quality of life” improvements would be. Those were ideas I had towards quality of life in Bangor. Nevermind then.

Why invite people to attend when you already know what you want.. Now you can say We offered and nobody came.. When actually ideas are already being turned down because they don’t meet the preplan

Everyone turn on all their lights one night per month during winter (the 15th?) so that the young people can see how welcoming Bangor used to look back in its heyday.

First problem I would address is why are you inviting the public?? I am sure you already have your own Ideas that will be implimented and the rest of the people who’s ideas will be dismissed, will in turn become cheerleaders for you Ideas and greatness.. I’ll have some Ideas come Friday and we will see what happens. I won’t be disappointed with rejection because I am familiar how politics works.
