Game notes: Maine has won the last three meetings and is 2-0-1 in the last three at Agganis Arena. The six BU defensemen who played in Thursday’s 3-2 win over No. 1 New Hampshire have already combined for 11 goals and 29 assists. Maine has scored a power-play goal in four of its last five games but is still just 57th in the country at 7.5 percent. BU is 37th at 14.5 percent.

Maine coach Tim Whitehead’s keys to the game: “We have to get numbers back on defense. They have a lot of offensive firepower. We have to shut down their defense. They like to get involved in the offense. And we have to stay out of the penalty box.”
