PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — A traffic stop on Interstate 95 South on Wednesday led police to bring charges against three people suspected of stealing merchandise from the outlet stores in Kittery.

On Wednesday, police in Kittery broadcast a description of a vehicle carrying suspects thought to be involved in thefts from the outlet stores, according to a Portsmouth police announcement.

Portsmouth officers pulled over a car matching the description near the Portsmouth Traffic Circle at about 2:30 p.m. They arrested the occupants, 22-year-old Sawliki Perez, 23-year-old Astrun Pujols, and 22-year-old Elvis Pujols.

Each was charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property in excess of $1,500, according to Portsmouth police.

Perez and Astrun Pujols were ordered held on $11,000 cash bail. Elvis Pujols is being held on a detainer by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. He has also been ordered held on $20,000 cash bail by a local court.

The three men were scheduled to be arraigned by video Thursday in Seabrook Circuit Court on charges brought by Portsmouth police.

Kittery police did not return a call seeking comment on the incident.
