The reason the bulk of the accidents in Castine are caused by students, is because no one else in their right mind lives there in the winter. Castine is a summer town only and is mostly vacant in the winter. The reason the accidents involve alcohol, is because there is nothing else to do, other than have a few brewsky’s and hang out at each other’s apartments. RELAX and give the kids a break!!!

Give them a break? Do you realize that they are going off the road and crashing? They had a coach crash and die from drinking and driving not too long ago!! There are plenty of people who do live down there year round, why should they have to deal with these drunk out of control snots?

Why was he driving ……………….. back in the 70’s you walked anywhere you wanted to go………………. even if it was from the top of the hill to the ship.

Also people drank to socialize, not drink to get plastered ………………..
