ELLSWORTH, Maine — The last man from a trio of burglars pleaded guilty to stealing a cash box from a Bucksport Subway in May.

Deric Ireland, 20, of Bucksport, pleaded guilty on Nov. 15 in Hancock County Superior Court to burglary, theft by unauthorized taking and violation of conditions of release. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment.

Ireland, along with Nicholas Bailey, 22, and Peyton Webster, 18, were arrested in May by Bucksport Police officers after allegedly breaking into the rear entrance of the Subway on U.S. Route 1. The three took a cash box containing $440 and fled the store.

Webster and Bailey, whose current hometowns are unclear, each pleaded guilty to the burglary in August. Bailey was sentenced to 2 years in prison, with all but 30 days suspended, and one year of probation; Webster was sentenced to two years in prison, with all but 90 days suspended, and 2 years of probation.

All three men are responsible for paying restitution to Subway for the $440 stolen.
