HOLDEN – Richard Francis Hammond Jr., 55, of Holden, passed away Dec. 2, 2012, surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was born June 13, 1957, in Jonesport.
He later met and married his wife, Debra and was a devoted family man. He loved to be at camp in the summer and hunting in the fall. Richard worked as production supervisor for American Concrete for 34 four years.
He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Helen Robinson-Hammond, his father, Richard Francis Hammond, Sr.; his sister, Nancy Lund; and his beloved son, Richard Francis Hammond III.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Hammond; daughter, Lisa Ashley and her husband, Gary Ashley; son, Darric Hammond and his wife, Samantha Hammond; daughter, Crystal Bagley and her husband, John Bagley; grandchildren, Danielle, Kiersten, Jordan and Grace; stepmother, Betty Hammond; very special family members and lots of very special friends in his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Jonathan Eddy Cemetery, Riverside Drive, Eddington. There will be a celebration of his life and reception at Eddington Fire Department, after the burial. Donations in honor of Richard’s life may be given to CHEFS, a local food pantry, which serves Clifton, Holden and Eddington; CHEFS, care of Holbrook School, 202 Kidder Hill Road, Holden, ME 04429.
